| DEFINITION |
Erythrosine consists essentially of disodium 2-(2,4,5,7-tetraiodo-3-oxidooxoxanthen-9-y1) benzoate monohydrate and subsidary colouring matter together
with water,sodium chloride and/or sodium sulfate as the principal uncoloured components. Erythrosine is
described as the sodium salt. The calcium and the potassium salt are also permitted. |
